Claire, I know one day many years from now you’re going to be into men in some fashion ... either as friends or lovers (if you go the hetero route, up to you). If you do, your mother and I have one request: PANTS THAT FIT.
EXHIBIT A from a small community newspaper:
In the newspaper the gentleman above had this photo taken from a tour of duty he was on and sent it home to his mother. She then sent it along to the community newspaper, which I received in my mailbox and happened to stumble along. I wonder what the phone call was like on this one:
ARMY MAN: “Ma, you get that photo in the email yet?”
MOTHER: “Sure did, son.”
ARMY MAN: “It’s a good one, eh?”
MOTHER: “Yeah, looking at it right now on my fridge. You look swell!”
ARMY MAN: “Feel free to send that around eh?”
Cut to me eating cereal one morning ...
