1. Writing: working on a feature film script with Duane Murray entitled "A Better Place". We're at the treatment/first draft stage and will have it together by Februray 2009 (Telefilm funding). Also writing a short doc/animation script that is a personal look at my family circa 1978 entitled "Red Car, Blue Hood" which has to be in some form January 2010 (Canada Council and Ontario Arts Council funding).
2. Travel: going to be in Saskatoon November 17-21, 2009 to do some interviewing with Maria Campbell and for my sister Christi Belcourt's art gallery opening. (details on the twitter). As well, I've been asked to be the Visiting Aboriginal Artist in Residence from the Winnipeg Film Group and will be in town for two weeks in January 2010 (details to come).
3. Teaching:the Liason for Indepent Filmmakers (LIFT) here in Toronto has had me out for a few sessions teaching the Intro to Directing workshop.
